CERAMICS STUDIO

Equipment: Our ceramics studio is equipped with a slab roller, 6 electric pottery wheels, one outdoor kickwheel, a clay mixer, hand tools, slab molds, studio glazes, a pug mill, two electric kilns, and all commonly used glaze ingredients.

Firing: We fire glazeware in a cone 6 oxidation firing, using a Skutt kiln and an L&L kiln (which was generously donated by Thrinley DiMarco). We also offer a Raku Firing monthly during our open studio. Firing is done by Alchemy technicians. We are also in the process of installing two large gas kilns as well as a woodfire kiln.

Clay: A variety of cone-6 clays are available for purchase from our store at $30/25lb bag. A variety of cone 6 studio glazes are included in membership.

Access: Ceramics studio members can use the space every day from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, except during classes and events, via our studio scheduler. At this time, the studio is only accessible via stairs.

Ceramics studio members may rent monthly shelf space (as space allows) for an additional $25/month.
