TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Alchemy Art Center strives to offer arts programming to everyone, regardless of their financial background. Thanks to the support of the San Juan Island Community Foundation, ArtsWA, the NEA, and generous donations from our community, we are able to offer sliding scale tuition assistance to both children and adults.
Assistance may be requested for public and private classes, as well as monthly studio membership. This program is for anyone who would not otherwise be to afford the full cost of tuition.

Applicant Guidelines:
Tuition assistance is for anyone facing difficulty in paying for a class or membership. Please note that most classes have a sliding scale purchase option built into the order page, and tuition assistance for classes is based on the middle tier of our sliding scale pricing options.
Applicants are highly encouraged to apply at least two weeks prior to the start date of their desired class or month of membership in order to be considered. Applications may not be considered if received fewer than two weeks before the class or workshop start date.
Applicants are chosen based upon financial need. Although financial records are not required, we ask that you provide accurate information help us in our decision.
Funding is limited and tuition assistance is not guaranteed to all applicants. Scholarships are awarded in various amounts and may not cover the entire class or workshop fee.
Scholarships awarded for a specific quarter or session may not be transferred or deferred. Receipt of a scholarship does not guarantee placement in a specified class. Prospective students must register in accordance with registration guidelines. Alchemy Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop.
Applicants are evaluated without regard to race, religion, national origin, sex, or physical ability.
