2026 Strategic Plan

In late 2023, Alchemy Art Center began a search for opportunities to expand and better serve our community, culminating in a thorough strategic planning process from January to April 2025. This critical process identified key areas for future growth and investment, including improving physical accessibility, expanding our artist residency program, increasing programs for children and families, and supporting a broader range of art forms.

This foundational 2025 Strategic Plan provided the essential blueprint for the organization’s future. Just three weeks after the plan was completed, the unforeseen opportunity arose to pursue the purchase of the vacant Pelindaba Lavender Farm at a significantly discounted rate, thanks to a generous philanthropist couple. The timely acquisition of the "Art Farm" allowed us to immediately address the objectives of our strategic plan, rapidly expanding our facilities from one site to two. This major step allowed us to immediately achieve key goals for growth and increased impact in our community, setting the stage for the next phase of strategic planning in 2026.
