Getting here without a car
Alchemy sits five miles outside Friday Harbor, and the island has no ride-share services such as Uber, so plan your ride before you arrive. Book a taxi, rent a moped, or ride San Juan Transit, which stops at the Lavender Farm, a quarter-mile walk from Alchemy. The San Juan Islands Visitors Bureau lists more options. Need a hand? Email us well before your visit and we will plan it with you.
Get involved
Alchemy runs on what people bring to it. Take a class, claim studio time with a studio membership, teach a class of your own, or join Youth Mentorship. If cost stands in the way, apply for tuition assistance. To keep every door open to every islander, you can also give.
Creativity is a human right.
Alchemy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Grants and gifts of every size keep classes, studios and free programs open to everyone on the island. Tuition assistance is available for nearly all classes and all memberships.
