Store hours: 11am to 6pm daily in summer (May to August); 12 to 5pm Thursday to Monday in April and September; 12 to 5pm Saturday and Sunday, October to March. 45 Hawthorne Ln, Friday Harbor.

Same fields, same recipes
For more than 20 years these fields were Pelindaba Lavender Farm. When Pelindaba closed in 2024, a philanthropist bought the property and invited Alchemy to care for it. We still grow, harvest and distill lavender on the same ten acres, and three longtime Pelindaba makers produce the products you know, under a new name.
Why lavender
Lavender’s name is often traced to the Latin lavare, to wash. For centuries people used it to clear things: linen, rooms, the air before something begins. Here it grows beside studios where people come to make things. It will not make the work for you. It may help clear the space to start.

The store is a living gallery for our creative community, from professional makers to first-time sellers. Our youngest consigning artist is 14.
