Wet felting is one of the simplest and most satisfying ways to make fabric. You’ll end the day with an 11x17 (ish, shrinkage is a bit hard to predict) piece of intricate hand-made fabric of your own design and all the knowledge you need to easily replicate this process at home. We’ll also look at some artists who use wet felting in experimental ways in their practices, as well as some examples of what you can do with your felted fabric after class! Bring a towel and come ready to get your hands wet!
This class is taught by visiting artist Evie Hidysmith. Evie has developed this class based on her art practice - this is the only time she will be teaching this here at Alchemy, so if you are interested, be sure to sign up!
Saturday 7/19 from 2-5pm.
