This is the second of 3 painting sessions for the summer series. Each session will be led by Glenn Hendrick and will include a mindfulness exercise, demo, and light technical support. Each session is a standalone, and you do not need to attend all three.
Schedule: The group will convene in the parking area at the top of Mt. Grant at 9am. The gate will be open so you can drive or hike. There will be a short settling in period with a mindfulness exercise, then there will be a demo on how to get started. Light guidance will be provided throughout. The session will end at 12pm.
Natural Inspiration: Participants will enjoy inspiration from the vibrant flora and diverse wildlife.
Materials: Alchemy will have some acrylic painting supplies on hand- however, participants are encouraged to bring any materials (paper, paint, drawing supplies, easels, etc) that they are excited to work with. This is a pack-in pack-out activity, so please plan accordingly. Materials questions can be directed to Glenn at glenn@alchemyartcenter.com
Relaxing Atmosphere: Enjoy a peaceful and supportive environment, perfect for both beginner and experienced painters.
Registration: Space is limited to 15 participants; please register in advance to secure your spot. Email Tanja Williamson at tanjaw@sjclandbank.org or call 360-370-7655.
What to Bring: We recommend bringing a water bottle, snack, and a portable chair or blanket for your comfort, and dress for the weather. Bring art supplies and an easel if you have them, if not you can use Alchemy’s supplies.
